Miss Janet

I couldn’t think of a better way to inaugurate the first program of Trailcast than a conversation with Janet Hensley, of the must-stop hiker-hostel, “Miss Janet’s House” in Erwin, TN around mile 338 on the Appalachian Trail.

Miss Janet talks about her hostel, thru-hikers and what she’s doing to make her town even more hiker-friendly.

This was a fun podcast. I particularly liked hearing Miss Janet talk about all the hikers stranded in Erwin during the snowstorm because I was one of them at the time. Miss Janet rocks, and this was really fun to listen to. Thanks!
