Robert, Those were very nice interviews. Perhaps, as Jack suggested, an interview with an outfitter or equipment mfg would be timely what with the thru-hiking season approaching and people in the process of shaking down their gear.

I second John’s suggestion. Some possible interviewees could be the manufacturer of the Tarptent, and the manufacturer of the ULA backpacks. I believe owners of both companies are backpackers who developed their own products. Both companies also work to provide improved products to their customers. I’m a customer of both companies — owning two Tarptents and a ULA P2 backpack and can attest not only to the high quality of the products but also to the great customer service provided by both companies. I would like to know how a backpacker translates that hobby into a business. I would also be interested to know how their products evolve over time.
Oh, and of course I love the two part interview with Baltimore Jack. All your interviews are wonderful — Miss Janet, Jan Liteshoe, etc. For someone like me, who is dreaming of hiking the AT, your interviews are fabulous. Thank you so much!

Great stuff well done.
An interview with Josh and Leigh Saint (hiker hostel) would be very good for the next class of Thru-Hikers. They provide shuttles and are a growing jump off point for north bounders. They provide good service.

Great article. I am just sad I dont know how to reply properly, though, since I want to show my appreciation like many other.
